Jeep CJs (including the CJ-5, CJ-7, and Scrambler) all ride on a leaf suspension system. Luckily for us, this system works great, and is easy to upgrade. If you are looking for more height out of your Jeep CJ, try one of these solutions.

Jeep CJ Suspension Kit - These kits will replace your existing leaf springs, as well as your shocks. In the majority of cases, a new suspension lift will make your CJ ride better, since you'll be replacing very worn factory components. Look for a complete kit, which will typically come with steering components like a drop pitman arm.

Jeep CJ Body Lift Kit - a more economical choice for raising your CJ is a body lift kit. This will replace your old body mounts (which were made of rubber, and wear out quickly), with new 1 or 2" larger pucks. This will raise the body of your Jeep off of the frame slightly, allowing you to fit larger tires onto your Jeep.

A Jeep CJ looks great straight from the factory, with it's classic rounded styling and rugged interior. When you add a lift to your CJ-5, CJ-7, or Srambler it just becomes icing on the cake. A lift kit will allow you to run slightly larger tires (33" tires look great on CJs!) and will allow you to travel on trails that you couldn't do when stock.
